An incubus is a demon in European popular belief and mythology from the Middle Ages, which is supposed to perch on top of the sleeping victim, in order to have sexual relations with the sleeper, according to a wide range of mythological and legendary traditions. Religious tradition holds that having sexual relations with an incubus can cause deterioration in health, or even death. The victims live the experience as a dream without being able to wake up from it. This being also takes the form of men, sometimes even making its victims fall in love.
